Dr. Pragna Parikh ​

Dr. Pragna Parikh is PhD in Zoology (Neuroendocrinology) 1986, Retired as Professor and Head, Department of Zoology, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, India in June 2022. She is from last 30 years working in the field of Toxicology and Entomology and renowned expert in the field of Insect Biodiversity.

Dr. Darshee Baxi

Dr. Darshee Baxi, a Gold Medalist with a Ph.D. in Endocrinology from The M.S. University of Baroda, serves as an Associate Professor and Program Chair for the Division of Biomedical and Life Sciences at Navrachana University, bringing 11 years of teaching and three years of research experience to interdisciplinary initiatives and research centers.

Dr. Ankita Doshi

Dr. Ankita Doshi an Assistant Professor in the Division of Biomedical Science at Navrachana University, specializing in protein structural and functional biology across various organisms. With awards like The M.S. University junior research fellowship and the CSIR-senior research fellowship, she has numerous peer-reviewed articles and has actively guided MSc students in their research endeavours.

Dr. Lipi Buch

Dr. Lipi Buch’s research focuses on the interplay between neuronal and glial cells, specifically astrocytes and oligodendrocytes, for normal development and myelination, as well as exploring the role of miRNAs in the pathology of glioblastoma multiforme using molecular and cell culture techniques.

Dr. Monisha Kottayi

With a PhD in Botany from RTM Nagpur University, Dr. Monisha Kottayi specializes in Plant Defense, Plant Tissue Culture, and Genetics and Plant Breeding; her innovative thesis explored methods for selecting leaf spot disease-resistant strains of Arachis hypogaea through biochemical markers and mutagenesis.

Dr. Amit Patwa

Dr. Amit Patwa, an Assistant Professor at Navrachana University, brings over 14 years of extensive research experience in synthetic organic chemistry and bio-organic chemistry, with past roles including postdoctoral fellowships at INSERM, France and Boston University, USA, and aims to foster interdisciplinary research and effective learning in Organic Chemistry.

Dr. Denni Mammen

Dr. Denni Mamman is a distinguished chemistry professor and researcher at Navrachana University, renowned for his groundbreaking work in the field of analytical chemistry.

Dr. Sumit Bhawal

Dr. Sumit Bhawal has earned two PhD degrees in Chemistry. The first related to the area of Polymer & Colloid Science (2003, M.S. University, Baroda, India), and the second in Synthetic Organic Chemistry (University of Texas, USA, 2014). He has around three years of training as a Post-doctoral Research Associate in Synthesis and application of Task-Specific Ionic Liquid with Prof Daniel Armstrong (Azyp. LLC, Univ. of Texas, USA) and Design and development of drug delivery platforms involving nanocrystals, nanoparticles, and microneedles (Texas Tech University, USA). His six years of Industrial R&D experience involves training in Polymeric Drug delivery, Drug solubilization in self-assembled structures (Sun Pharmaceuticals, India), Polymer coating & Resin Synthesis (Berger Paints, India), and API synthesis (CRO Labs, USA). Currently, he serves Navrachana University, as an Associate Professor in Chemistry, where he is involved in Teaching & Research.  

Dr. Dharmesh Varade

Dr. Varade has completed his PhD in Surfactant Science (2002), from Dept. of Chemistry, VNSGU, Surat. His thesis is titled ‘Quaternary Salt Based Cationic Surfactants and their Solution Behavior’ under the supervision of Dr. P. Bahadur which engrossed on numerous key issues from the field of Surfactant Science.

Dr. Varade has over 20 years of experience in Research and about 10 years in teaching and academic coordination. He has worked as a JSPS Fellow in Yokohama National University, Japan, Marie-Curie SOCON Postdoctoral Fellow in University College Dublin, Ireland and CNRS Fellow in University of Paris, France. He has 2 Indian Patents in his name and has published more than 75 Research Papers in Peer-reviewed International Journals in the areas of Surfactants Science and Nanotechnology.
