Dr. Parth Pandya
Dr. Parth is a graduate in biochemistry and has earned his doctorate in Zoology (toxicology and Neuroendocrinology) at The Maharaja Sayajirao University. To his credits he has around 5 projects from reputed agencies DST-NSERB, GSBTM, GUJCOST etc. In his lab, people are working in the field of Neuroendocrinology, Toxicology and entomology. He has more than 10 years of experience and currently along with the research projects he also teaches Toxicology, Immunology, Molecular biology and Clinical biochemistry etc at the Masters and Bachelors level. Dr. Parth Pandya, along with his research, seamlessly blends the analytical rigor of academia with the soulful passion of classical and folk singing, enjoying vocal performances in his free time.
Nehareeka Dan
Ms. Nehareeka Dan is a SHODH fellow and a post-graduate in Life Science and graduation in Zoology from Navrachana University, Vadodara. She is interested in fish biology and her research focuses on the molecular interaction between Kisspeptin, Melatonin and Serotonin during the onset of puberty, aiming to uncover the neuroendocrine regulation of the pubertal mechanism. She also investigates the involvement of the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal Axis during sex-reversal in Teleost, previously she was a JRF in DST-SERB sponsored project.
When she is not conducting experiments, you’ll discover her in dance class or indulging in the pleasures of watching series and reading books.
Harsh Shah
Mr. Harsh is a post-graduate in Biochemistry from Navrachana University, Baroda and graduation in Chemistry from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda. His research interests are focused towards understanding the role of Neuropeptides and Kisspeptin within the hypothalamic circuit with respect to pubertal onset in female wistar rats. He was a JRF in DST SERB sponsored project and presently he is recipient of SHODH fellowship from Govt. of Gujarat. He is a sports enthusiast, loves photography and travelling.
Mithil Trivedi
Mr. Mithil has completed his Masters in Life Sciences from Navrachana University and Bachelors in Zoology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda. He is investigating the role of plant insect interactions and understanding the mechanism of resistance with the help of molecular techniques. He is a wildlife photographer and loves to capture animals in their natural habitat.
Tejas Gurjar
Mr. Tejas has a zoology background with keen interest in fisheries and fish biology. He has completed his post-graduation and graduation from The Maharaja Sayajirao University Vadodara. His research focuses on understanding toxicity of microplastic and heavy metal in marine fish. In his leisure time, he loves to play cricket, watch anime and travel and photography.
Prince Upadhyay
Vyomil Patel
Mr. Vyomil has completed his BSc-MSc in Biomedical Science from Navrachana University, Baroda, and his dissertation/thesis work from Dr. Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences, Hyderabad. Currently, he is investigating the effects of heavy metals and microplastic contamination in marine sentinel species, which is sponsored by GSBTM, DST, and the Govt of Gujarat. He enjoys movies across genres and is passionate about mythology, philosophy, and life’s deeper questions.
Riddhi Mavani (Co-Guided)
Ms Riddhi is a post graduate student in Biotechnology from Nirma University, Ahmedabad and graduation in Biotechnology from N V Patel College of Pure and Applied Sciences, Vallabh Vidyanagar. Her research domain is about in-vitro culturing of Hyptis suaveolens (L.) poit. and Ocimum basilicum (L.) and elicitation and biotransformation studies of secondary metabolites under biotic and abiotic stress. She is a SHODH fellow a fellowship from Govt. of Gujarat. In her free time, she likes to brew coffee, read books and travel.
Hetvi Shah
Ms Hetvi Shah is a post-graduate DBT-student in Biotechnology student from IAR, Gandhinagar, with graduation in Biotechnology from St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad. She is interested in studying the role of Kisspeptin and its transcription regulation in varied cancers such as breast cancer, ovarian cancer and glioblastoma multiforme, in background unravelling the epigenetic regulation and therapeutic strategies, harnessing the potential of KISS-1 as a target for cancer treatment. Along with keen interest in Science, she loves music, sitcoms, and travel.
Harshita Johari
Ms. Harshita Johari is a postgraduate in Zoology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University Baroda. Her project revolves around agriculture insect pest management. Other than research she enjoys art, culture and music.

Sripriya Bulusu
Ms. Sripriya has pursued Integrated MSc in Cell and Molecular Biology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India. She completed her dissertation from NCBS Bangalore, India, wherein her study focused on the transcriptomic study of the Role of Sleep in Learning and Memory Consolidation in Apis mellifera foragers. Her passion for Neuroscience has led her to further pursue a PhD in the field. One would find her at the dance studio if not at the lab. She enjoys exploring new interests like learning to play different instruments.
Adikrishna Murali Mohan
Ms. Adikrishna Murali Mohan holds an MSc. Engineering in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from Danmarks Techniske Universitet (DTU), Denmark and a Bachelor’s in Biotechnology from GSFC University, India. She has a strong passion for integrating innovation, technology, and life science. As a recent graduate with a keen interest in cancer bioinformatics, she is enthusiastic about enhancing her skills through practical learning opportunities. To deepen her knowledge of the role of kisspeptin in preventing metastasis and explore its potential as a therapeutic target, she joined the bioinformatics internship focusing on the project titled “Understanding KISS1 Gene Expression Patterns, Immune Infiltration, and Prognostic Signature through Experimental and In-Silico Approaches in Breast and Ovarian Carcinoma”.
Outside Adikrishna’s scientific pursuits, you will find her enjoying board games, music, playing sports, and traveling to explore different cultures.
Jeel Parmar
Mr. Jeel Parmar is a BSc Biochemistry student at Navrachana University in Vadodara, currently interning under the guidance of Dr. Parth Pandya. During this internship, he gained hands-on experience in various techniques, including microscopy, molecular methods, and the analysis of physicochemical parameters of water. He also worked on tissue processing for heavy metal and microplastic analysis and conducted dissections of prawns, crabs, and fish. Outside of his academic pursuits, Jeel enjoys programming & coding, playing badminton and table tennis, and going on car road trips.
Aaryan Pandya
Mr. Aaryan Pandya is pursuing a BSc in Microbiology at Navrachana University, Vadodara. Currently he is working as an intern in Navrachana University under the guidance of Dr. Parth Pandya. He has gained hands-on experience in various techniques, including microscopy, molecular methods, and analysis of physiochemical parameters of water. He has also worked on tissue processing for heavy metal and microplastic analysis and conducted dissections of crabs, prawns, and fishes. Besides this, Aaryan is a sports enthusiast, loves trekking, photography and cycling.
Shrey Panchal
Mr. Shrey Panchal graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Life Science from Navrachana University. He has keen interest in exploring various aspects of zoology, marine biology, animal behaviour, and taxonomy. His hobbies include bird watching, watching science fiction movies, and listening to podcasts and documentaries about paleontology, zoology, and astrobiology.

Mr. Pankaj has completed his graduation and post-graduation in Zoology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University. He is interested in studying molecular mechanism underlying insect resistance in stored grain pests. Other than working in lab he enjoys watching movie, current affairs and cricket.
Krupal Patel
Mr. Krupal Patel holds a post-graduate degree in Zoology from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in Vadodara. He is currently a PhD research scholar at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, where his primary goal is to understand the ecology of the hermit crab species Clibanarius rhabdodactylus, that is found on the Saurashtra coast in Gujarat. He was awarded a SHODH fellowship by the Gujarat government to finance his PhD studies. Aside from that, he is investigating crustacean taxonomy and microplastic contamination in the maritime environment. He enjoys travelling and photographing wildlife in their habitats.
